Once upon a time, two very young girls (4 and a half, to be precise!), met under a beautiful acorn tree. One was called Lisa, and the other called Ellie. They both loved similar things, like wearing brightly coloured cycling shorts, cart-wheeling and picnics in the great outdoors. They spent their days together running through fields chasing bees and generally being silly. A fantastic friendship grew, and on followed many years of fun; the picnics grew into banquets that fed family and friends, and the love of food, nutrition and the environment became ever more apparent. Fast forward some years, and not so much has changed (well, thankfully we moved past the cycling short phase!). We still love being silly, we still love food, nutrition and the environment, but rather than just feeding our friends and family, we wanted to share a little bit of what we do, with you. This is when Happy Kitchen was born.
Since Happy Kitchen began, its aim has been to feed people delicious, health and environment conscious food. This has come in the form of savoury and sweet foods, but over the years we have focused more so on the sweet, dreaming up all sorts of fabulous recipes to share over cups of tea. The more recipes we have dreamed up, the more people who have joined us, to offer their super brilliant skills and talents, and we now have an ever growing Happy Kitchen family. Everyone has their part in bringing what we do to you, and without them, Ellie & Lisa would still be up until all hours baking in a teeny tiny kitchen (thanks guys!).
We love what we do, we`re immensely proud of what we do and we hope you too get lots of enjoyment from it!
